Shamsher Prakash Annual Prize for Excellence in the Practice of Geotechnical Engineering

Purpose:The prize rewards significant independent contributions and promise of excellence in the practice of geotechnical engineering.
Eligibility:Candidates should be specialists in Geotechnical Engineering and/or Geotechnical Earthquake Engineering. Young (under 45 years) practicing engineers from all over the world are eligible.
Funding:The Award consists of cash prize US $1100.00 and a plaque.
Information Required in Application:Please send SEVEN complete assembled folders to the Foundation. The following information must be included in this order in each folder:

1. Name of the Candidate
2. Complete postal address and telephone, fax number, E-mail
3. Date of birth, and age on Sept 30, 2006
4. Chronology of education
5. Chronology of jobs held
6. Area of specialization
7. Complete list of refereed publication in journals (please enclose not more than five (5) significant publications).
8. A statement of 500 words of the Significant Contributions and promise for future excellence in research (ON SEPARATE SHEET)
9. One 5" x 7" color/black and white photograph with one 35mm negative or digital photo
10. Any other relevant information
